BBC presents the classic play by William Shakespeare. Directed by Jane Howell, the continuing saga of Shakespeare's Henry VI stars Peter Benson, Julia Foster and Bernard Hill. The play chronicles the War of the Roses, the bloody battle for the throne between the Houses of York and Lancaster, and the disintegration of Henry's reign. When the King takes a French noblewoman for his bride, his court becomes divided and Henry faces civil war.
