BBC presents the classic play by William Shakespeare. Elijah Moshinsky directs this Shakespearian tragedy which chronicles the downfall of a Roman general. Caius Marcius is rewarded with the surname Coriolanus and given the rank of consul following his successes in battle. But his arrogance so incenses the common people that he is banished from Rome.
