At Long Last: A Streaming Service for Broadway Shows

Miss that hit Broadway show? No problem—watch it from the comfort of home.

Good news: You no longer have to live in or be visiting a major metropolis to get your Broadway fix. Broadway HD is a new Internet streaming service that provides Broadway shows to anybody, anywhere—like Netflix, but for theater. The service, created by Broadway producers Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley, aims to promote and preserve live theater by making it available to all on the Internet. Currently, there are over 100 productions featured on the website, many of which are classic titles—think: A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo and Juliet, and Jekyll & Hyde. Taking a cue from our beloved TV-streaming service, Broadway HD features category tabs on the homepage allows users to choose between genres such as musical, play, classic, drama, comedy, etc.

Sound like your kind of subscription? You've got two options: a $14.99 monthly access package or the $169.99 annual access package. Both of these packages provide the viewer with full access to the entire Broadway HD library, and the shows can be streamed to a laptop, mobile device, tablet, or TV.
